Hello
I've been a Chronic Pain Sufferer & Fibromyalgia patient for many years now. I've searched the internet for all the most informative sites, groups, & organizations.
I've joined some and also given small donations to others and joined them in any free capasity available. We all know that many or most of us have a difficult time paying fee's to join different sites & organizations and sometimes we join some and really don't get to reap the full benefits of news articles & magazines as others provide.
For the past couple of years, I've been a member of the Fibromyalgia network and have received their excellent news letter, have full access to their online site and other benefits that members are allowed.
This year I was able to also join the National Fibromyalgia Association and am receiving their excellent magazine too.
I thought maybe I would run a sharepost introducing these two very valuable resourses for all the most current information on Fibro, but I also wanted to let other chronic pain sufferers know, that a great deal of the advise & info they supply you with, can also benefit living in any state of chronic pain and not just for FM Sufferers.
I would encourage all pain sufferers to at least view their free articles and info on their websites and I would like to highly recomend joining and having the news magazines sent to you, as the information in these magazines is invaluable for anyone in pain.
Fibromyalgia Network can be found at www.fmnetnews.com
National Fibromyalgia Association is at www.fmaware.org
Both sites have a tremendous amount of great information for you all and I hope you take a moment to check into what they have to offer.
Take Care! I am hoping that spring & summer are right around the corner for us all

Hey Its kimberly, im not sure if you remember me but i talked to you awhile back. You had told me that your son lived in Seattle which is where im from. :) maybe that will remind you!!
Anyway, i remembered you the most as i dont get alot of time to be on this site with my job and being so busy with life itself. My pain started to subside for a bit (or maybe i was too busy to really pain attention how bad it was) but as it started to get worse and worse i decided to finally go back in and see if there is another type of treatment i can start. I did join a support group with my boyfriends mom about a month ago that has really helped us get out some of the issues that we have with taking narcotics and not wanting to get to that point that you start to rely on them. It also helps to hear some of the people your sitting next too talk about how they are so addicted to them that they cant even imagine living without them. I dont want to get like that and it helps me to not want to even think about being like that.
Either way my doc put me on Lyrica, which we all know what that is for. I have been taking it for about 4 weeks now which im not sure is long enough to give my opinion yet but it really seems to be working for me. I dont feel like i need to get up and take a pain pill every 4 hours. Its helping me focus on life, my boyfriend, having a life again outside of work and being able too!!!!! I wanted to know if you knew anyone on this site (or yourself) that has been taking this medicagtion?? any of you out there??? i might do a new post about it and see what people have to say about it.
Anyway, hope all is well with you. Take care and i hope to hear from you soon.
-Kim
Well Hello there Ms. Kimberly
Good to hear from you again.
Wow, that's really great that your having such good success with the Lyrica. I think there are many members here that take the same med and also there may be others who have more questions, so a new sharepost by you would be great and I would look forward to reading others comments and questions too.
Yes, my son is still living in Seattle, he's finally got his exceptance to the Uof W pharmacy school, so we are all very excited & proud of him. I have to laugh, I will be calling him doctor in only about 4 years. lol
He & I talked about it last week when he was home on spring break and both had a good laugh. He was talking about how bad it bugs him that other people require everyone to call them doctor and how he would never do that. We still got a laugh. Seems just yesterday he was home here with me.
What a great idea for you & boyfriends mom to join a support group. I really find it helpful to have a support system set up around me.
You take Care and stop by when your able
