This is scary because I have also had a fusion 2  yrs ago and 3 wks ago woke up in extreme pain and problems with my left leg, have to go back to the Dr.  because it looks like a bone chip was found.  As for nerve pain I could not tolerate the pills and discovered that if I smoked a bit of pot the nerve damage was reduced to a managable level.  It works better than any pill I have been given.  I wish you good fortune with your back in the future.
