An additional topical remedy that is also an anti-inflammatory is Traumeel. it was recommended to me by my naturopath and a friend of mine who uses it says it is more effective for her than PennSaid! It's available in health food stores.

I'd classify traumeel as an herbal topical. One on its ingredients caught my eye: Atropa Belladonna. This highly toxic plant in the nightshade family has such a fascinating history of medicinal and sinister uses. Traumeel also looks like it is worth trying. Thanks for the tip.

I have been using Menthacin Deep Relief for fibromyalgia pain (neck, shoulders, and low back) for several years.  It works great for me - especially in cold temperature.  If I go for massage, exercise, or in warm weather I try to avoid as it can get pretty hot!  Smile
