I have had a pain pump implanted 15 days ago and have found this site filled with good posts and have read many posts that have been helpful.

I posted a question and complications I was having with my pump (or symptoms that have changed since having it implanted) but posted on the home page by mistake (still finding my way around),  The problem has stopped for the last 8 to 10 hours so unlesss the problem reappears I will not post it here for now.

I will return as often as I sign on to my computer, the site has been helpful to me just to know there are so many people living with pain and are willing to share thier stories and problems that they have had to endure and family members who are concerned about thier loved ones or friends.  I am so gratful to know I have a place to go where I can ask questions and share my concerns.

My wife bought me a new laptop for my Birthday so I could be comfortable while I recover because it was difficult before my surgery to sit at my desk for any lenght of time (I'm sure I am not alone not being able to stay in any one position for any lenght of time)!

I also have to thank my Daughter who set up the computer and found and added this site to my favorites.

Just wanted to say hello and thank you all for being here.  I'm sure I will have another posting soon.

Hi Brad,

Somehow your SharePost slipped by me and I just came across it.  I believe I already welcomed you to ChronicPainConnection and told you about our forum on pain pumps in the Q & A section, but thought I'd pop on here and say "hi" and see how you're doing.  I hope your complications with the pump have been resolved by now.

It sounds like you have a wonderful wife and daughter.  I'm sure you're enjoying your new laptop.  I seem to spend most of my life on the computer these days.  It's a great way to connect with others, especially when our mobility is somewhat limited.

Take care of yourself.  I hope you'll keep us posted on how you're doing.

Karen
