there no deals with your kind
each day you make me guess what at it's worse
arthritis in knees - they say I'm too young for
or leg pain that no one can diagnoses
neck pain I've had for 20 yrs now, we've made our peace
live with it
and you Rick - how did you do it?
cancer pain, pain in bone and of the blood
it seeped into your every being
I hated seeing you die there
nurses refusing pain meds that doctor's had ordered
at first you knew, later you didn't I gave up my pain meds
before I could even whisper it
before my brain could allow me to say a part me knew you were dying
I refused to let you be in pain, my love
later when the nurses knew they turned kind
you had every med that was needed, turncoats
yet you always comforted me when I was in pain
My sweet love, I try Rick to battle the pain
don't have your courage and without you here
without here the battle is rougher
