Medicaid won't cover Cymbalta for Trigemina Neuralgia or Fibromyalgia

I was also on cymbalta but medicaid wouldn't pay for it.  They put me on the generic....effexor which I can't take.  Now I'm back on Lexapro.....It helps but its not as good.  I'm a stage 4 lung cancer patient.

I would suggest trying to get this medication through the drug maker or ask your Doc if he or she can help you find a group to help you with this.  I was just turned down by my prescription insurance company when I tried to fill a script for Provigil which I have used for years!  I was shocked my fomulary has changed I was told,but I found out about N.O.R.D National Organization for Rare Diesases, they will help me with this issue.  I am dealing with M.S., fibromyalgia,back injuries and other nerve damage. Provigil is not specifically indicated for any one thing I have although its main funtion is to help with fatigue!  Just not the kind for my community, go figure.  Also if you have use of a computer look up Cymbalta and see if they offer any kind of assitance. Hope this helps.  In Kindness and Peace Sonja

I've been getting Cymbalta free and will now get Provigil free.  I went through www.pparx.org and filled in the forms for one doctor there.  All he had to do was sign them.  With Provigil though, you have to call and then they send you the forms.  But I now get all my brand medications free which is great because I have no insurance at all.

Just a thought!
