Monday, March 03, 2008 at 10:21 PMHi there, I am sorry that you are ill also. How we take for granted the work that our stomach does. I too had my stomach herniate and had a nissen fundoplication done at the same time. I understand you pain.
I am on a and have been for 3 years, no red meat or anything with fat, no diary, no fruit, and nothing that doesn't beaks down easily. I know no much left.
But even elimanating all of this, my stomach is still just a mess. Last night I ate a pbj sandwich and within an hour i had the dry heaves. It lasted 4 hours, this brought on a migraine.
I just don't know what to do anymore.
Thank you for your help just the same and good luck to you too.

I am sorry you have to contend with Lupus. I do not have it, but do have many other issues. Some of which is Hiatal hernia, GERD and Diverticulitis. Unfortunately I have to take arthritis med's, that you guessed it cause stomache bleeding, so I have to be very careful in what I eat, sometimes I have to stop taking them for a week just to give me stomache a break, doc's orders. I can say, about eating anyways, stay away from ANYTHING acidic like oranges, tomatoes and even milk because of lactic acid. You can find a plethora of info on the internet as well, of foods that can aggrivate gastroperesis. I hope this helped at least a bit. I wish you good health.
