Welcome to ChronicPainConnection!  We're very happy to have you here with us and we'll do our best to offer you support and encouragement.  However, since it sounds like your primary pain problem is Migraines, I also have to recommend our sister site, MyMigraineConnection.com, to you.  It's one of the best Migraine sites available and they'll be very happy to try and help you.

Although I'm not a Migraine expert, I've learned three important things about Migraines that are applicable to your situation:

    1)  Medications such as Excedrin Migraine and opioids like Percocet may actually be causing you to have more problems because they can cause rebound headaches.

    2)  There are more than a hundred Migraine preventives that can be used, so there is still hope for you to find something that will be effective for you.  The lead expert on MyMigraineConnection, Teri Robert, also has glaucoma, so she can relate to your difficulty in finding an appropriate medications and should be able to make some suggestions.

    3)  It's important for you to find a Migraine specialist.  Not all neurologists are adequately trained to treat Migraines.  MyMigraineConnection has a list of Migraine specialists and should be able to help you find one.

I don't have Migraines myself, but have close friends who do and I know through them how incredibly painful and disabling they can be.  I know I sound like a broken record encouraging you to visit MyMigraineConnection, but they really do have the best information I've found and are the most helpful when it comes to answering your questions and working with you.  I do hope you'll check them out.

I wish you the very best.  Please keep us posted on how you're doing.

    Karen
