Welcome to ChronicPainConnection!  Although I'm sorry you have a reason to be here, we're very happy to have you as part of our community.  There are a lot of really great people here who want to help and offer support and encouragement.

I know how difficult it is to go out and work full time while in pain.  I did that for many years, too.  I admire your determination.  Yes, you are fortunate to have a good support system.  That makes such a big difference!

I hope you'll make yourself at home here, post your thoughts, make comments, and ask any questions you might have.  We'll look forward to hearing from you again.

(Oh, by the way, I used to be a Florida girl, too.  I lived in Clearwater for many years.)

I sure know how you feel.  I am in so much pain, even with the med.'s that I am taking (Kadian - extended release morphine), oxycodone 30 mg - for breakthrough pain, lidocaine patches. and also suffer from "severe headaches" (not migraine).  Sometimes I can barely move.  I wish there was something that could make me feel better.  So I definitely know how you feel.  I had an operation on my neck, on disc c-4,c-5, anc c-6 in 1995, and they took bone from my hip, made new discs and placed a metal "E" to help keep them in place.  But here it is 19 years later, and the pain is just as bad.  I had to retire Jan. 98, cause I could not work on my computer at work.  I use a "laptop" now, but I still suffer if I stay on too long.  Please take care, and know that you are thought of today.nwichlet@yahoo.com
