Don't pospone treatment!

By Roxana Alvarez Amell Sunday, April 06, 2008

Roll Eyes Hi!  When I sprained an ankle (badly) years ago, i didn't even ice it...When I had a serious car accident in '88, I gave it sme follow-up.  When I fell down a flight of cement stairs, head first, I saw it as a sign of God that I had yet an unaccomplished purpose in life for I donnot know how I survived that fall; still no follow-up.  When you have some kind of accident it is imperative that you seek medical consult immediately for the repercussions

are felt years later when the damage is permenent and painful.

A word to the wise is sufficient.

Please take care...

Hello Roxana

It's a pleasure to meet you and Welcome to the Chronic Pain Connection.

Your advice is very good and I could not agree with you more.  I experienced numerous injuries in all my years training & racing Horses and I always refused going in to see a medical doctor and always sought natural healing options.  Don't get me wrong, I do really like alternative medicine, but there are times a person needs to have injuries checked out more.  I was under the opinion that all the Md's had were pain pills and of course I did not want to get into that problem, so I avoided going to the md's for too many years, I allowed severe pain to ramp out of control with out seeking treatment and I believe in a sense I have somewhat created or am responsible in part to why my central nervous system is messed up and my bodies pain receptors so out of control.

Thank you for your advice.

Hope to see you around  when your able

Take Care

Betty
