I WON my SSDI case!    Now I have to wait for the letter that tells me what my backpay is and my monthlly pay.   This is such a relief as we have been living off of my husband's SSDI for the past two years and found ourselves dipping more and more into the savings account.   ...
  1. Good for you, but...

I won my case also, but the government tortured me for a total of 3 years. I almost lost my property(my home) and suffered for three years. Now they take 100 dollars a month from me, to pay for medicare and then don`t pay it all. Some times I wonder why I still live in this country!

I'm new to this world of constant pain(10 months) and I'm facing ALL of the usual trials and tribulations of trying to manage emotionally, physically, financialy so of course I look down the fairly bleak future and believe I'll have to apply for ssdi also,so I'm pleased to hear a success story, congradulations!

    Geeky Granny

I'm so happy for you and would really like to know more about how the hearing went.

I applied in 2005 and my hearing is finally coming up next month.  It's been such a long drawn out process, that I felt like giving up, but am thankful that I have not and I hope the outcome is positive, so I can try to move on with my life of pain.

Congrats and I'm happy that it's all over for you and your not having to deal with the added agravation any longer.

    Take Care

Hi, just have a question. Why didn't you apply for Social Security Disability instead? I'm trying to get through the paper work so I can send it in. Now I'm worried. Please answer. JoAnna

    Hey Joanna,

If you are chatting to me, SSDI is Social Security Disability. Laughing

Just remember to be consistent with your daily weaknesses.  If you say you can't walk more than 10 minutes, don't say you spend more than that daily in house work.
