I would love to communicate with other TMJ patients who have had the Vitek Teflon Proplast Implant to repair problems in the TM joints.

In 1991 the FDA recalled these implants and many are having problems with their implants as I am.

Read your post today.I had vitek implants in 1984 .After being totally disabled by them I had them out in 1987.For 6 years I ran a large support information group in Fl.Your implants need to come out.

I had the Vitek II IPI in my left TMJ in 1984 after an auto accident. It was removed in 2005; shredded and causing lots of problems. Still causing lots of problems. I would love to have someone to talk to as well.
