Stacy came for a visit last week. It was her first time back since moving to San Francisco several months ago. You might have noticed that I didn't say that she came "home." Things have changed dramatically in such a short time. Since her diagnosis of TMJ Disorder and subsequent chronic...

    Hi Candy,

I'm so glad to hear that Stacy is doing well! I have missed hearing from her, she has done so much for me than she probably realizes. It is all thanks to Stacy and her hard work that I found you and all these lovely people. People who understand what a person with chronic pain goes through.

Please let Stacy know that we all miss and love her! I'm so pleased to hear she is happy. :)

    Hugs,

Aloha Candy, I am brand-new here and unfortunately I have fibromyalgia, peripheral neuopathy, etc. And now developed TMJ.

I find that using Lidoderm patches on along my lower jaw from ear to chin gives me quite a bit of relief.  I was using them for trigger points on my back and chest.

Also, how can I get fiber back into my diet with TMJ?  I add fresh fruit to my warm Ensure smoothies...any other suggestions?  Wow, I'm 5'10" and down to 125#!  It's horrible.

Also, using a bag of frozen peas over and over makes a great ice pack for any reason.  I try to use a vegetable that I will never eat like black-eyed peas or okra.  That way, we'll never use it to eat.

    Thank you for any suggestions.

Hello, and welcome.  I think you will find a lot of useful information here.  As far as fiber is concerned you might want to try Benefiber, it is non thickening, and tasteless.  You can add it to just about anything. Frozen peas work so well as an icepack, we keep a bag in the freezer just for that purpose.  You might want to check out Stacy Stones posts for more info on TMJD.
