Thank you so much for the 'new' info.  I am RA and a bunch of med problems, one of which is also IBS and Divertic.  I take Oxaprozine for my RA and I know it not only causes stomache bleeding but problems with IBS as well.  I also have GERD and a Hiatal Hernia which I take Protonix for and to 'slow' down the affects of stomache bleeding with the RA meds I take...brother.  I will talk with my Gatsro. Doc and see what he says about this new stuffer's.  Thank's again... and be well

    Peace

    C

    Hi there,

thanks for your comment.. in addition to my last writing I now have to take less of the probiotic Floristor as I was finding I was swinging the other way, into constipation.  I guess we all have varying tolerances.  I hope this does bring you some relief though.

    All the best,

    Andrea

I have had good relief from using turmeric and ginger sprinkled or cooked with my foods.  Also homemade oatmeal products or cooked cereal one week or two alternating with squash or pumpkin baked or cooked products the other week or two have given me back a regular bowel pattern and texture with less straining.  Also using Kegel exercises to tone pelvic muscles to help move the bowels is an excellent help. Walking 8-10 blocks every day or two helps immensely also.

I have suffered for years with IBS  I went to Dr had tests, another scope  and nothing wrong!  in fact looked so good this time he said come back in 10yrs

So I told my FMS Dr and he sugested I eat an Activia yogurt each day,it has probiotic in it and also comes in the little drink bottle  for those who don't like eating yogurt, not a fan of yogurt to start with I was surprised just how good it tasted! I have noted a vast improvement, and can even skip a day and take it every other day.... For those who don't wish the expense of another pill a day! or hassle of getting  this medicine I recommend you try this, It might take a few weeks to work but I am vastly improved though have occasional gas pain.

    Hi all,

thanks for the feed-back.  Maggie, I'm going to check into that Activia yogurt solution!  We do eat yogurt in our house, and have Activia in the fridge right now. I'll have a chat with my pharmacist and see how much I would have to eat to get the same amount of probiotics from the Florastor 250 mg which works like a dream!  The cost is prohibitive for the Floristor, it runs me around $45 for 25 days and if I could get the same results from eating something I enjoy all the better!

thanks again, and wishing all of you a pain free day!

    Andrea
