Ultracet for Chronic Pain

Is there anyone else who has heard of using Ultracet for pain daily?  Am supposed to take 1 every 6 hours but use a different method without going over.  Have spinal stenosis.  My back doctor agrees that my endocronologist has the last call on my meds.  Have diabeties 2 and the endo has me on this as OK for a diabetic like me.  I am 65.

Is there an expert here who knows if this should be OK for the rest of my life or should I ask about something else?

There are many days when 2 are fine, others when I use all 6.

Also is there anyone else in a similar situation and what does your doctor do for you?
