For the last five plus years  I have lived with fatigue and chronic muscle pain. The fatigue has taken over my life to the point that I sleep 13 hours a night, and need to nap through the day. The only way to describe the muscle pain is that it feels like my muscles are shredding, and ve...

I have Muscular Dystrophy and your muscle enzymes run high in those conditions. I have symptoms like yours to some degree, there are 40 different kinds of MD and you should call your local MDA association and see if there Neurologists will see you and help diagnose you. That is what I would do anyway. If they cant find out what is wrong they will refer to someone who can I am sure. It is worth a try anyway. Good Luck!! I will say a prayer that you get to the bottom of whats wrong.

Thank you very much for your response. My endocrinologist did rule out MD, but as you said there are 40 types ( which I was not aware of ). I shall follow your advice and persue this through MDA. Thank you also for your prayers, as you shall be in mine.

Just out of curiousity did they check for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Lupus or MS? There are so many diseases and you can call yourself to each of those Associations and ask them questions or ask for a Dr in your area to help diagnose you. If you look up on the internet WEB MD you can put in your symptoms and it will list different diseases that could fit the symptoms as well. Just a couple of ideas for you. God Bless and Good Luck again.

Again thank you for writing back. The darndest thing about this is that I'm seeing supposedly a very good neurologist . Where we disagree is that she thinks its skelatal and I feel  ( with my endocrinologist agreeing ) its Autoimmune. Would you believe that she had me go see a Neurosurgeon for my back , and yet wouldn't conceive of the fact that my elevated ezymes of the liver would have anything to do with it... So as you can see its the frustration of tunnel vision. But I am going to follow up with MDA affiliated clinics to get an answer one way or another to see if its any form of MD.

Thank you so much for your insight.
