About Me

I was a Professional Land Surveyor for some 25 odd years before I was stricken with "the worst case of Fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatige" my doctor has ever seen. (His words).  That was in March 2003.  Apparently, I've had this for a better part of my life, but because I was so athletic, the pain didn't get really bad until March 2003.  I was 52 and slowing down a bit; that's when it hit and it hit hard.  For three years I laid in bed in screaming pain.  It wasn't just the pain either, the burning is horrific as well.  It took me that many years to find a doctor who would actually believe that it wasn't in my head or that I wasn't a hypochondriac. lol  Still, just seeing medical doctors, the pain medication I was being given just didn't do much for me.  Finally, I was sent to a rheumatologist who recommended pain management.  I slowly got to where I could get out and stay out of bed for four hours at a time.  Sometimes, I'd go 6 hours before having to go back to bed.  I was doing well!  Then last month, it hit again, worse than ever.  That's when I made the decision to get the morphine pain pump.  I am absolutely terrified at the thought of having something like that permanently in my body, but am anxious and happy to think that I could actually awaken in the morning feeling no pain.  My gosh, just to think of having no pain seems so unreal, so far away for me.

Anyhow, after I get my life back.  I'll take it slowly so I can rebuild my muscles.  I use to be tight now I have this loose flabby stuff everywhere. lol  Ugh!  I can garden again! I can fish again!  I can hardly wait.  With my luck though, the Lord will decide it's the end of times. lol  Well, either way, it's a win, win. :0)

I have two wonderful children (39 & 34) who are stabile, secure, set financially and handsome to boot.  I have two grandchildren who are beautiful, healthy and happy.  What more could one ask for?  Well, to get to see them would be nice.

I have a handsome hubby, 14 years my younger.  We use to love to go canoeing and fishing.  Hopefully, we will again with God's good grace.
