Welcom Marly, I'v 'lived' with pain close to 50yrs. the last 45 or so it's been 24/7.
So I'v had every 'treatment' any 'Pain Dr.' can think of. One Pain Dr. I even let him try on me, a treamant he leared or heard about. Why not? I was in pain anyway, some would help my pain, go down a notch or 2 for a few weeks, some didn't work at all.
I too have problems with my hips hurting, the Dr. I see now gave me a few 'nerve shots' which seemed to help close to 4yrs. My hip pain seems to coming back, I'll let him know at my next appt. & hopelly he can get the O.K. from my Ins. Before the 'New Health Care' starts, I talk to people in other countrys that have 'The New Health Care'. It doesn't sound good for us that are in 'Chronic pain' & more. I never heard about what your Dr. wants to do to you, could you explain more about it, on this board?
This is a good site to learn about new treatments. All the members are very helpful & really care about the other members. 'Karen' works hard finding new treaments, or 'Meds' that we can ask our Dr's about . If you know of new treathents, everyone likes to hear about them & how they helped you, or didn't help you.
