I have Muscular Dystrophy and I go through pain all over my body but alot of it is in my back and I am fused at C56, C67 already and have numerous disc problems in my lombard area. I am sure I will need further surgery eventually. My pain clinic tried putting a intrathecal morphine pump in me and I couldnt tolerate the morphine or the dilaudid so I am back on methadone and they are taking the pump out on July 31st 2008. I am scared to remove it because I had such high hopes for it to control my pain with less pain meds needed but it has been 7 months now and they agree that it is just sitting in my body for no reason with saline in it so I might as well get it out besides there have been warning recalls on the pump that I have in me so I am better off getting rid of it. I am sorry you are so sick, do you go to a pain clinic? Do you have help at home for yourself? If you want to write back we could communicate.
