Dear, I would try some lite stretching, changing positions, ice is a good idea, but it also causes numbness, so I normally go and lay down with pillow stacked behind me, with my knees up over a pillow or two, or I lay down flat with my legs elevated at the knees.  I just keep switching positions until it passes, you may want to try having your...

Dear, I would try some lite stretching, changing positions, ice is a good idea, but it also causes numbness, so I normally go and lay down with pillow stacked behind me, with my knees up over a pillow or two, or I lay down flat with my legs elevated at the knees.  I just keep switching positions until it passes, you may want to try having your husband or who ever is home with you to rub your lower back lightly, sometimes it helps to rub your rump, down the line that your sciatic nerve runs.

I have these dumb episodes to and I just keep trying different positions to find one that helps.

I'm certain your probably doing this already, but just thought I would mention what I do.  Even if you can rub down your rump your self, it sometimes will help and work your way down your leg.

I try stretches that pull my vertabra apart, or give more space for the nerves to run through there.  Sitting is normally the worst for my own situation.

I'm sorry for your painful irritation.  I really hate the days of fighting numbness, they just drive you crazy.  If it does not subside over night, you may want to call your doc and let him know about it.  You may want to let him know anyway

I hope you get feeling better

I hope your feeling better this monday afternoon.  Sometimes I have all kinds of strange unexplainable numbness & tingling.  I cannot ever tell what the possible cause is.  Although mine happens a great deal when riding in the car or driving.  Just makes me crazy, cuz once it gets flared up, then it's hard to get it to go away for several hours, even when I'm not in the car any longer.

I've never tried the apple cider vinegar, that SSSluvs cats has tried, but I know that my own mother feels that vinegar has a great deal of healing properties in it, so I dont think that it's a bad idea at all. I'm personally pretty open to try different suggestions, I've found others suggestions become very advantageous to help with your pain toolbox.  Vinegar is inexpensive too.

I hope your feeling better, I know you have a lot of people who depend on you and I also know how distressing it can be when your suffering in pain.

      Talk to you soon
