Dear Karen,

One of the medications that I'm on is Neurontin and it really helps. If I miss a dose, I can really tell it in my jaw where I have the trigemenal neuralgia.

Thanks for the article. It was very interesting...

I'm taking 300mg (supposed to anyway) 3xs a day. But it overrides my narcolepsy meds and I get sleepy in the morning. So I am taking it at night only at first... then adapting my self to night and midday. then I'll try mornings again.

It really makes me zonk out!!

I take 2 600mg of gabapentin 3 times a day for fibromyalgia along with a vicodin and several flexeril per day.  Wondering if upping the dose of gabapentin would do more good.  It does help some i can tell if i don't take it...i don't seem to have any side effects which is good.  I have been trying to talk my dr. into letting me have 2 vicodin a day so i can have one in the am and one in the afternoon so i don't suffer so much at work but he is resisting.  So now i'm back in PT for the hundreth time...

I have suffere from spinal stenosis in my neck for 7yrs now. Pain management is the only reason I can still work everyday! Everyone at the PM center I go to are total professionals. My treatment includes epidural steroid injections and fentanyl patches. 2 mths ago, I started feeling numbness down my leg, 3-4 times a night waking me up. My pm doctor diagnosed another nerve being affected by the stenosis. He prescribed 300mg gabapentin 4x a day, starting at 2x a day for 4 days, then 3x for another 4 days until I got to 4x a day.  By the 6th day, I was sleeping thru the night again!!! No more numbness in my leg at night since then!!!  I hope this is helpful to someone!

Cool  I suffer from Fibromyalgia and also pinched nerve pain in the neck and back and also have arthritis, when I take Neurontin it takes a few days to get into my system but it absolutley helps my pain. I feel more focused, and have more energy and best of all less pain and stiffness. Especially when I take 1,200 mg at a time.
