‘Tis the season of summer vacations.  Many of you are planning to travel sometime over the next two or three months.  Are you looking forward to it or does the idea of traveling fill you with dread?  Vacations are supposed to be fun and relaxing but when you have a chronic pain illness, sometimes that dream vacation can become a nightmare.  

There are, however, things you can do to avoid the nightmare––steps you can take to help make your trip a positive, pleasurable experience.  If you are planning a trip, be sure to read: “Traveling with Fibromyalgia: Tips to Make Your Vacation a Pleasure Instead of a Pain.”  Although the article addresses fibromyalgia specifically, most of the tips are applicable to any chronic pain illness.  Whether you’re going by car or by plane, you’ll find ideas to make your travel experience a more comfortable one.
