Hello Karen,

As usual another very informative piece. Thank you for all the hard work you do to help keep us informed.

I am a bit confused in a personal sense. I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, back in 1991. Granting that the diagnosos protocol for Fibro is not as difinitive as a diagnosis with a blood test, x-ray, etc...

I was reading the article you posted and not knowing much about CRPS I decided to read about it. I was quite surprised to find that many of the symptoms are ones that I have that have always been related to Fibromyalgia. It looks as if the dignosis criteria for CRPS is alot like for Fibromyalgia and the central nervous system is involved in both.

I am now confused and need to talk with my doctor's about this. Thank you so much for opening my eyes~ This whole diagnoing and treatment of these two illnesses is frustrating to say the least.

I have recently started using CPAP every night for sleep apnea.  My pain levels are less!  I used to stop breathing for a minute or more 30 times an hour!!!!  Now i breathe properly.

If you are a bit overweight or you snore, it is worth getting tested for sleep apnea.

Words simply cannot express how excited and hopeful I am to receive this news. I've gone through basically every treatment available, except for the Ketamine coma and the hyperbaric chambers. Thus far, nothing has worked. This article has renewed my hope for the possibility of a pain free life! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Just wanted to thank you for the vital role that you so willingly take upon yourself in keeping so educated on all of the latest medical and clinical updates for so many various pain conditions.

This gives me new hope and a renewed sense of gratitude that indeed there may some answers for patients who live with the daily pain associated with RSD. It is so hard to find doctors that are even aware of the diagnosis and even so much more frustrating that we as patients seem to be better educated on the treatment options available for this devastating disease process.

Thank you again for your continued efforts despite the fact that we all are aware that you suffer on a daily basis, and yet you expend your enegery to keep us updated and informed.

With sincere gratitude,

Sam
