New Year's Wished to Chronic Pain Sufferers

By Karen Lee Richards, Health Guide Friday, December 31, 2010

As we get ready to begin another new year, I just want to take a few moments to tell you how much each of you means to me.  It helps so much to know there are others who understand what life with chronic pain is like.  Your kind comments and support are such an encouragement to me.

I'm blessed to have family and a few close friends who really care about me and try their best to understand, but no matter how hard they may try, they can't really know what it's like to live every day with chronic pain.  You, however, do know.  And I can share my challenges and my victories with you, knowing that you are friends who can truly relate to what I'm saying.

I've been thinking about what I would wish for each of you for the new year.  Of course, my first wish would be for no pain, but being more realistic, I at least wish that you will have many more good days than bad this year.

May God bless you and fill your life with love, hope and peace in this new year.
