Each evening from 9 p.m. until midnight, the Niagara Falls are lit in the colors of the rainbow. There are, however, some exceptions to that rule. Sometimes the Falls are lit in special colors for 15 minute segments to support various charitable causes.
This year fibromyalgia, ME/CFS and multiple sensitivities are among those causes. On May 12, the International Awareness Day for all three, the Niagara Falls will be illuminated for 15 minutes in the awareness color for each illness. Following is the schedule:
9:45 – 10:00 pm EST
10:15 – 10:30 pm EST
11:00 – 11:15 pm EST
Multiple Chemical Sensitivities
The Niagara Falls Illumination Website notes, “Illumination times are approximate and subject to change according to light conditions.”
You can watch this event live on the Niagara Falls Webcam.
It would be wonderful if someone who knows how would record a portion of each event and post it on YouTube for those who aren't able to see it live. I will at least attempt to capture a still shot of each event to share with you.
