As each new year rolls around, we hear a lot about making new year’s resolutions. Personally, I quit trying to do that many years ago. It’s not that I’m opposed to making positive changes in my life; it’s just that doing so because the calendar says it’s January 1 d...

Karen
Thank you for your suggestions and thoughts for our new years resolutions. I'm not normaly one to make them, as I learned at an early age that I do not normally achieve my resolutions as I had always made them too high for me to consider accomplishing them.
My goals this year are to continue to learn about my chronic spinal pain and FM, try a few new therapies as I'm running out of some new ides as to what I should try next. it pretty much seems that some of my home treatments and therapies just help a small amount to tolerate the chronic pain & illness, but none of them ever come close to a healing as those who suggest or offer them would want you to believe. So I'm just going to continue to try to learn more about the illness and also to utilize the knowledge to help support others in pain.
I'd like to get to a point in this illness that it becomes some what stable, instead of the pain & fatigue being so unpredictable that I never know whether I'm coming or going, Coming out of a flare or heading into a new one. I'm not sure how I'm going to accomplish this, but I'm going to try.
I would like to recommit myself to my daily walks as soon as the weather stops storming, but be willing to walk with a warm coat & hat even when it's still cold out doors. It's been several weeks since I've been able to take my walks and I can really tell the differece right now.
Well, thank you Karen, I will keep your suggestions in mind and try to apply them where I can.
Happy New year to you and to all
Betty
