Winners From the Pain and Creativity Art Contest

  • On October 25, 2007 I was honored to attend the American Pain Foundation’s gala in Baltimore celebrating their 10th anniversary. One of the highlights of the evening was an exhibition and auction of the winning pieces from the Pain and Creativity Art Contest featured right here on ChronicPainConnection. It was inspiring to see how others in pain have used their creative talents to express their deepest emotions.

Now you, too, can see the works of the contest winners and learn what inspired their creations. On the APF’s Pain & Creativity Art Exhibit site, you can download pdfs of the winning pieces in the categories of visual art, written pieces and videos. You can also visit the APF’s 10th Anniversary Celebration page if you’d like to see photos of the Baltimore gala.

Although the contest is over, The Health Central Network and the American Pain Foundation are still accepting submissions to be included in the APF Pain and Creativity Center, a network designed to connect artists and their expressions of pain through an online exhibit of creative work.
