Two types of chronic pain are Migraines and headaches. In addition to being chronic pain conditions themselves, they also frequently accompany other chronic pain illnesses like fibromyalgia.

Do you have migraines or chronic headaches or know someone who does? Do you enjoy writing poetry? If you can answer “yes” to both questions, then this is the contest for you.

Each April our sister site MyMigraineConnection along with Help for Headaches and Migraine sponsors the Putting Our Heads Together poetry contest. The only requirement is that your poem must be on the theme of Migraine and/or headaches.

This is a chance for you to tap into your creativity and express your thoughts and feelings about what it’s like to live with Migraines or headaches – or what it’s like to watch someone you love suffer with the pain of Migraines and headaches. Poetry can touch people in a way that no other art form does. Take this opportunity to help others understand what you’re experiencing.

To learn more about the Putting Our Heads Together poetry contest, read Teri Robert’s SharePost “2008 Migraine and Headache Poetry Contest – Enter Now.”

Now grab your pen or sit down at your computer and wax poetic!
