Little Things Can Make a Big Difference

Chronic pain is challenging to say the least.  Not only do we have to cope with the pain itself, but often we also have to deal with fatigue (being constantly in pain is exhausting) and difficulties with memory and concentration.  Over the years, I've gathered a few tips that may make your ...

I love this list of suggestions! I hope someday to convince my husband that less is often more with the exercise, he thinks the cure all for my every malady is a nice brisk walk at the hang on for dear life end of the leash with our biggest dog! My favorite suggestion is the purse lightening one, I have refined that one even more, I don't carry one at all anymore, I have my husband carry essential documents for me when we go out, or a very small clutch I usually leave locked in the car.

I very muched enjoyed your family photos. Coleen

I loved your list! It obviously comes from somebody that's been there.

Necessity is the mother of invention.

I stop and pause whenever I am heading to another room in the house or heading outside.

I scan the room I am in and take with me any other items that can be disposed of on the way, ie. going to water the pot plants outside, take the recycling with you.

Heading to the laundry, take the shampoo to deposit in bathroom as you pass by etc.

It is similar to the basket at the bottom of stairs but for house without stairs

My German shepherd now picks up anything I drop and deposits the item on the table or lap. He worked this out himself!

Must have disliked my moaning and groaning as I reached down for things!

You do a marvelous job, Thank-you. Toni

Thanks for your suggestions, Toni.  What a wonderful and smart dog you have!  I wonder if I could train my Shih-Tzu to pick things up for me.  Smile – Karen
