My painting visually captures the pain and chaos of spinal surgeries. Lumbar and cervical disc degeneration just plain hurts but on some days I can still hear the trees whispering to each other. Pain notwithstanding I'm still very lucky to be alive now. God bless everyone.Spinal Fusion

    You have illustrated so aptly what the nerves trapped between my facet joints and in the neural foramen feel like.  Thank you for sharing.

     

    I am very fortunate to live just steps from a beautiful green belt this city had the forethought to protect.  The trees have a very profound effect on me daily.

    It caught me by surprise today how much my cervical spine and left arm hurt as a result of disc degeneration and multiple car wrecks. As I saw your painting I couldn't help but think, YES, you have captured it. Luckily, the sounds of the river, the views of the osprey, blue heron, red tailed hawk and yellow bellied slider turtles all bring me back to the now and beyond the pain...
