thank you so much for the comment. It's really nice to get some encouraging words from someone, I'm sure you know. It's frustrating living with my family and boyfriend who can't feel my pain and don't take me seriously. They don't understand how something like this could hold my life back in so many ways. I'm sure your back pain is probably worse than mine, I can usually get by during the day by not being very painful (unless the weather is bad or I plan on doing anything besides sitting on the couch). I'm actually better than I use to be but who wants to just barely get by everyday and not living a full life. It just feels like the straw that broke the camel's back, if you know what I mean. My life has been hard but yes, I have become a very strong person because of it, I know I can get through anything... but it doesn't hurt to get a little help in form of some online support. Thank you so much.
So what's the story on your back?

Your post really hit me--you have fought and won so many battles in your life. You must have terrific inner strength--most of the things you described would have beaten most people and you dealt with, survived and prevailed over all of them. You SO deserve help to let you regain some comfort and quality to your life, time to laugh, ride horses, you name it. I wish I had some pearls of wisdom to share, but my back pain (which seems very minor compared to all of your challenges) has nearly defeated me. I SO need a pain specialist with a heart (or preferably one who has lived with horrific pain for most of her/his life)--they are in short supply!
Hope you keep in touch.
Elaine
