I have had FM for 25+ years so far -it never goes away .You have chronic pain and fatigue all over  your body. All the doctors can do is to give you meds to help you manage the pain. There is no cure and they do not know what causes it . FM affects every part of your life and yes you do get depressed living with chronic pain all the time. You can find lots of info here on the net - about FM. It's extremely difficult/hard when you are a wife and a mother of 2 kids-since you are 24 yrs old -your kids can't be very old. The older your kids get ,they will be able to help you out more around the house, at the grocery store etc. Alot of people don't understand this disease and even alot of doctors don't really either. You have to have a kind sympathetic Dr who is familiar with FM. Hopefully you have a kind understanding husband. You are not alone with this-there are lots of us with FM. I have alot of female friends with with FM. Having a good DR helps alot. You can also find info at MayoClinic.com and WebMd.com .If you have any more questions -please post. I hope this helps you a little more .Sorry I don't have anything better to report about this FM.You will have good days where you might feel decent and then the bad days where you feel like you can't get out of bed . Good Luck -I hope they figure this FM out -causes - and hopefully a cure in the near future would be nice. You are going to need unerstanding people around you for support family ,friends etc. Good Luck to You Hun and God Bless

I have suffered all my life with this disease, there is a group that is caring, knowledgeable and will offer you support 24/7 so that you never need to feel that you are alone. The Url of this site is: Reaching_Out_Fibrofriends_2@yahoogroups.com or our group moderator ckarenfriend@aol.com anyone can join, it is free and you will find the answers to all of your questions here. I have been a member for 5 years now. We offer suppport, a place to vent where people will understand all too well what you are going through. Have you tried the new drug Lyrica, I know it is not for everyone but becasue I have had 32 surgical precedures, I have severe abdominal adhesions and my abdomen was so bloated and painful that I couldnt even put clothes against it. Since I have been on Lyrica, it has shut off the abdominal pain and lowered the amplification of pain that was all over my body. I am amazed and pleased that it worked at all for myself. Kar our moderator is having computer problems right now but that should be fixed soon. Feel free to contact my at mzinyk_-1@sympatico.ca if you have any problems accessing the group or becoming a member.
