About Me

I was involved in a very serious auto accident almost six years ago , and four surgeries later , alive , but in constant pain . I had to have my knee scoped , and repaired , but then a total knee replacement on my right knee , anterior cervical discectomy with hardware , and fusion at C3-C4 , C4-C5 , C5 - C6 ./ Now a lumbar laminectomy with hardware , and fusion as well. I am beginning to feel like the bionic man here. Four weeks after back surgery severe nasty pain returns to my lower back ( right side , and right leg ). Stabbing , burning , numbness in my right leg . Had second MRI , Neurosurgeon happy with results , but still in pain . Had E M G , and that showed right lower extremity , and lumbosacral paraspinal area. Changes consistent with denervation in the lower , and mid lumbosacral paraspinal , and suggestive of persistent nerve root irritation at those areas . Now I will be having a Myelogram to see if perhaps there is something going on in my back that still needs attention . I have always been a very strong person mentally , and have handled alot in life , but this is really beginning to wear me down . My body constantly is in pain , and my positive mental attitude is wearing down each and every day . I keep telling myself that the man upstairs will only give out as much as you can handle. The quality of life has changed , still struggling to deal with physical limitations , but my family has been a solid rock of strength to lean on . Seven Grandchildren help to comfort with their affection ( best pain medicine ).
