Lasalsa

I'm so sorry For your problem, I'm sure that this could happen to any of us, who have to use these types of pain meds.

Have you talked to your doctor about possibly changing you to another type of pain med??

When I was having some troubles last winter, my pain doctor had suggested that we could try another non opiate pain reliever if my new dosage did not solve the problem.

Your profile does not mention what meds your on or the delivery system, so It's a little hard to make suggestions.  Can you elaborate some?

Hope you can find an answer, it's horrible to head into the holidays, with none or little pain relief.

Hi Lasalsa_

I am so sorry that you are going through this. I do understand how difficult it is when what you trust stops working. Have you considered adding alternative treatments to your current plan? Do you see a pain doctor, or is another doctor treating your pain? Is he/ she open to other venues?

In my case, I actually developed allergies to many opiates... so I was forced to go the alternative route. I will say that, in conjunction with what I can take does help.

If you have any questions... PM me.

I hope things get better for you soon!

Generally,  I just try and go a few days taking fewer meds than prescribed... After that, I generally am able to come back to the usual doses without too much trouble.  The few days can seem long, but, it does tend to help me out, without having to change scripts.  But, it's up to you.  This could work as it does for me;  regardless, good luck with it!  Anne
