Hello Everyone,

I am a Fibro sufferer with many outher health issues that also cause me pain every day.I am doing my best to tred water to keep my head above it and not dround in the pain and illnesses I have, I don't like weather changes it affects me too, but I deal with it.

I use to have a very high pain tollerance but it seems now I don't have it, I read somewhere that those who have high pain tolarences have to add +2 to there pain levels?. I went for 2 weeks not knowing I had a hairline fracture in my wrist and I had a burst cyst on an overie for 6 months and didn't know it till my Total Hystroectomy for Endrometreosis and my GYN was totaly shocked I wasn't in more pain than I was.

Has anyone else experianced this? and how in the world can you get your Dr.'s to understand it?

Hi Seeker and welcome to the pain forums the first thing you need is a understanding Pain management Doctor.

If you dont allready have one ask your Doctor to refer you to a pain management Doctor where you can get help.

I'm sure glad i have mine atleast now i can have some good days and nights.

Have a low pain scale weekend Smile

Thanks Wendell707,

I am waiting due to no insurance or money, I have a Medicaid hearing next month this will be my 4th hearing with Medicaid, I am praying I finely get it this time, it says a State Representative might partisapate by phone which is a first, Our state FSSA is under a Audit due to those who need it don't get it and those who get it don't need it. That is Indiana for ya. Thanks to our Gov.Mitch Danials who leased out our FSSA services to computers to decide who gets it and who don't. Sorry venting. just sooo aggravated.

I hope the 4th time is the charm Seeker Medicare hopes people will give up and go away so i look for you to get it this time around. I'll sure keep you in my prayers because i know how hard it is to get through to Medicare so keep me posted on how everything turns out next month.

GOD BLESS

Thank You Wendell707,

This is Medicaid, but it is all the same system. Oct.23ed is the big day a whole month plus to wait and be wondering, God willing I will get the Medicaid so I can get many tests done and see new Dr.'s and find out for sure what my pain stems from. And get my Tremors under control. Hope your Holiday is a good one. Bless you and may the Angels always keep you under there wings.

Hugs

Hi seeker, I too was told I had a high pain tolerance, while in labor with my first child I was not feeling the strong contractions that were showing up on the moniter(no meds).only felt two before baby was born.

Anyway, sure is a different story now! Makes ya wonder if that high pain tolerance and the Fibro are in any way related or are we still that tough and the fibro is really that bad and could be alot worse if we were not so high tolerant in the first place. Interesting!

Hi Egg,

Ya it makes you wonder about it all,I have read that for the adverage person to feel  our pain to add +2 to there level so our 6 is there 8 and so on, so I just wonder if my 9 is there beyond comprehention?UndecidedI had Endrometreosis bad and when I had my Hystorectomy back in 2000, the Dr. said you must have been in ungodly pain and I said just the endro pains and he told me I had a burst cyst on my overie LOL, who knew.

Thanks for the shareing, might just get an answer to this maybe someone will know.

Hugs
