I call on any patient denied medical treatment because they would not sign a forced placed contract created by their Doctor; requiring testing of their choice at such time as they deem it necessary; requiring either you or your insurance company to pay for such testing deemed not medically necessa...

I totally agree!! I have never been prescribed pain medication. Never!! But I have dealt with pain my entire life. I suffored from repetative knee disslocations starting at the age of 10 . By the time I was 17 I had two reconstructive surgerys done on my right knee and one on my left. I have staples holding my patella tendens in place in both knees. I am 45 years old now and one of the staples are pulling out. I have no cartelage in either knee and am completely dibilitated from the pain. I have no insurance so I am reduced to going to comunity clinics and seeing nurse practitioners and PA's. I bring up pain and they turn ghost white with a resounding "NO". I was finally givin a referall to a doctor specializing in joint replacement but he wont do it because of my age. Aparently the type of replacement I need, even if I had the money to pay for it, isnt garanteed to last for more then 15years. H e recomends that I wait at least 5 more years before I have one done wich will still leave me with the other one. I said fine then maybe by then I will have either insurance and or the money saved up to pay for it. But when I asked to get pain medication to get some releife he said OK just sign this contract. I said what contract. H esaid it is standard proceidure. It will help protect me from taking to much and becoming addicted. Protect me!! I dont think so. After reading it it is quite clear that it serves no purpose then to protect him from liability. This is sick!! We are supossed to live in a free society with freedom of choice and the right to make our own decisions conserning our health.

I had no idea that these contracts are illegal. But rest assured I am going to find out more and will lead the fight in my area.

I signed the contract. I have no choice. My quality of life is zero! He prescribed me Tylenal3 with codeine!! Can you beleive it? It doesnt do anything. So my rights where violated for nothing!!!!!!
