I don't have to tell those of you with Fibromyalgia how it takes away or at least changes life as you knew it. I have been fighting to feel better for too many years to count. I thought once my Daughter graduated from High school and left for college I would have enough time to focus on improving my life. Wow, I hit 40 and feel worse than my Mother, I can't even keep up with her. After much thought I finally had to give in to the ideal of going on Social Security Disability. Friends, Family, Doctors and even my previous employer agreed with my decision. Now lets see what Social Security has to say about it. My question to anyone out there that may have applied or knows someone that has applied, what results did you or they get? Most say they deny you at first, but you must appeal. I NEVER thought at my age or any age I'd need help, but it's clear I can't rely on my health from day to day it changes from bad to worse. This is what I must prove to them. Any advice would be appreciated, it's in the works right now so I'll let you know how it goes.

WELMY DEAR LET ME TELL YOU THAT YOU NEED TO HAVE THE MOST IMPORTANT WEAPON TO GO THRU DISS. OR SOCIAL SEC. AND THAT WEAPON IS YOUR FAITH. THEY ALWAYS DENIED AT FIRST OR MAYBE SECOND TOO, BUT YOU NEED TO BE STRONG AND NOT GIVE IT UP IS YOUR HEALTH, AND IS YOUR MONEY THAT TAKES A ROLE ON IT, JUST BE POSITIVE IN EVERY MATTER, WELL I GET MY DISSABILITY THRU MY JOB FIRST I RECEIVED MY SHORRT-TERM FOR 6 MONTHS AND AFFTER THAT THEY ASKED TO APPLY FOR THE LONG-TERM DISS, AND I DID AND TOOKED ME ABOUT 8 MONTHS TO RECEIVED MY FIRST BIG- SUM OF MONEY BUT IN AN MEANTIME I WAS VERY WORRIED BECAUSE I DIDN'T RECEIVED ANY LETTER OR ANYTHING BUT I DIDN'T LOOSE MY FAITH, I WAS SO WORRY THAT I DECIDED TO START WRITING LETTER TO THE DISS. INSURANCE ALMOST 1 A MONTH, LETTING THEM KNOW WHAT I WAS GOING THRU WITH THIS CHRONIC FIB. SYNDROME AND LETTING THEM KNOW THAT LIKE ME
WAS SOME OTHER PEOPLE SUFFERING WITH THE SAME CHRONIC PAIN ISSUE AND THAT IN MY HEART WAS STILL HOPE TO GET CURE AND GO BACK TO MY JOB WHICH I LOVE TO DO, AND MISSING , AND AFTER 8 MONTHS OF BATTLED I FINALLY RECEIVED WHAT I WAS WAITING FOR AND WHAT I KNEWED THAT BELONGS TO ME. I DIDN'T WASTED MY TIME I KNEWED THAT THEY WILL HEARD ME IN ONE OR ANOTHER WAY, AND ALSO I NEVER GOT A LAWYER BECAUSE I MADE MY SELF STRONG AND I DID IT ALL BY MYSELF AND WITH ALL THE PROOF FROM THE DOCTORS I SEE FOR ALL THIS 7 YEARS. I understand about the pain of all the comments I have read. What i mean when I say triple whammy I have Fibromyalia, entrapped nerves in my groin that makes my thighs go numb,and have arthritis in places I didn't know were possible,like my breast bone ,jaw bones plus all the normal places. I work 15 to 20 hrs. a week,but like so many others I come home barely able to walk and hurt from my toes to the top of my head.
I have been told about alot of people going on disabilty with one of these,guess i just hard headed. I know it is coming sooner than I thought it would be later. I'am 58 raised two children by myself and have always worked hard,i keep thinking WHY ME.

Ia bee in cronic pain now for several years I have a 2 year old and a 9 week old I had gastric bypass surury so everyone atribs pain to short gut or fibromyalgia pain but I know it is real excruciating at best no one believes me they think I am drug seeking it is frustrating just wanted to see if any one had a solution medicine or what.
