Met the "LOVE OF MY LIFE" online in April 2005. I never really believed in love at first sight until I met Dave. Now I know what they mean. I purchased a ring that was designed by a jeweler that I knew and, on June 17, 2005, I got down on one knee and proposed to Dave. He said yes and we planned our wedding for May 6, 2006. Went in for gastric bypass on June 20, 2005 and was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma in January 2006. I told Dave to call off the wedding and for him to "move on" as I did not know what was ahead of me. I knew we could not get married by the State of Arizona, so I found a minister that received approval from his church to perform a "Blessed Union" for us. We had our "wedding" (the whole nine yards, including a honeymoon), but without a license from the State of Arizona. We made up our own "contract", had it signed by the minister and witnessed by our immediate family members and ourselves. Truly, God sent me an Angel from Heaven. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in September 2007 and have been in chronic pain since July 2005 after starting an exercise program after my bypass surgery. It seems that the only "treatment" for all of this pain was to give me pills, not really treat my pain. I did find out that exercising does help with fibro pain, but then you are truly exhausted afterwards. After a ruptured disc in April 2008, I have never made it back to the gym to continue on with my exercise program. Now awaiting for surgery to remove two of my lymphoma tumors and for the approval of my new pain management specialist. Thinking of getting the therapy of spinal cord stimulation (SCS). This has been around for 35 years and I am very hopeful that it will work for me. Well, wrote my book! Hugs, Sally in Glendale, AZ
