I will start off by saying I had rotator cuff surgery due to a rear collision accident, then after surgery I started feeling upper back pain, my primary physician tried all the meds he could and now I finally found some meds that actually helped LOWER the pain level, I am on 100 mcgrams of fentanyl and a mild muscle relaxer. I went to see a Pain management specialist and he acted like I didn't need that strong of meds first of all, then after my second visit he gave me 10 trigger point injections on my shoulder and gave me a script for antflamatory and a muscle relaxer and said that would work, but as he seen in my file I had the exact same thing done 3 months ago and I was still in pain...
He makes me feel like I am an idiot and his words were, "You cant be in that much pain, your mri came back clean.....
I feel he thinks Im faking this or something...
What should I do NOW???? Just give up and deal with the daily pain or what....
I really need some assistance with this PLEASE
Thanks

I feel for you as I have been in the same situation AFTER an auto accident where I was hit by a truck from the rear - smashing me into the steering wheel - entire back seat and back end of my auto coming up against my body - Some of the physicians acted the same as you stated - I just wish THEY would have to live with it every day - (whatever the cause - and whatever the MRI shows - the PAIN is definitely there enough to cause your normal life to totally be changed. They can't possibly know what you feel or maybe even why - if they have never had it !!!! Makes me want to slap some of the Dr's.
