Today I had my MRI of my thorasic spine, IT was still uncomfortable, I had an open MRI They gave me my films to take to my specialist on my next visit, but Im not returning to him...no way I wish I knew how to read an mri.. the specialist's receptionist called and explained that they get a report of the results and will call me 24-48 hours with the results...I am praying that there is something wrong so I can get the pain fixed.... My PCP's office called me and explained that there wasn't much he could do any further since thatisn't his specialty he is an internist M.D We agreed that I will find a Pain Management Center in my area and if I need a referral they will provide it to me. Low and behold I googled and I found 2 different places that do Pain Management The first one I called explained that they will do whatever it takes to get me to feel less pain, they have message therapists to md's in the office, they explained that they try other approaches than pain meds first, but if needed they have the Dr's to write scripts, I go to my first appt Friday After I spoke with them I found another one that does Pain Management and they actually are in the same medical building that I had my surgery, all of my MRI's done at and they know my surgeon.. The only thing is that I have to wait until November 3rd,wich isn't that long i guess.... I think I'm going to go to both of the different places as long as I get help I dont care if I have to go to 500 different doctors.... the one thing my pcp office said was that there is a shortage of doctors who specialize in pain management in SAINT LOUIS mo Whats your opinions????
