Chronic Pain - Enough is Enough!

I have been dealing with chronic pain for 10 years.  I have had 4 cervical sugeries (C5-7 fused) and 3 lumbar surgeries (L5 - S1 fused).  I have also had plenty of epidural,facet joint injections, nerve blocks, nerve ablation ect! 

Of course now, I am having problems with degeneration above and below the fusions, as well as bone spurs.  I have severe muscle spasms and chronic headaches.  I have been trying massage, acupuncture, chiropractic, stretching, heat, cold, OTC meds and migraine meds for a few years now.  I have not been to a Doctor or pain clinic for over 2 years.  I have been trying to handle this myself. 

Well I finally had enough and went to the pain clinic and got the response I expected!  You have degeneration, lets try a facet joint injection.  I tried to stick in my two cents where I could, but he really didn't care to hear any of it.  He didn't even examine me, he really couldn't be bothered.  He is just focused on doing the injection and that's that!  That is why it has been 2 years since I have been back.  Why oh why is the Doctor always so frustrating?  I left there in tears today?  Why can't they just treat us like real people with real feelings?
