I was fired by my doctor when I lost my RX for Ultram. The office refused to acknowledge the bottle which was my RX until it ran out. I was ushered into office mangagers office and told to sign the letter they had wrote.
I was not permitted to even speak with the docto...

Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 12:24 AMHello again Judy
Here is the link to Mr. Will Rowe's shareposts and if you begin with #3 and go #2, #1 in order, I think they go together best in the order they were posted. But you can do it however you want.
Hope these help you and can give you some idea's on what to do when this happens.
Take Care and I hope to See you around

perscriptions from hesitant PM doctors

Saturday, May 24, 2008 at 01:14 AMPlease note that almost all pain management doctors are fearful of drawing heat down on themselves for not following the letter of the law when it comes to prescribing Class Two drugs like Opiates, etc. They tread very thin ice when they write another scrip for control of chronic pain, and are very hesitant to replace a scrip when it wasn't guarded with your life. Each time they get reviewed by the Board of Pharmacy, and the DEA, they go through quite an ordea just to help a patient alleviate pain.
Those who we stay with for years get to know us, and our usage habits, and can tell when abuse is taking place. these providers are can and do bear an extreme burden in that they have little room for error, not just for the welfare of their patient, but because Rx theft is the leading cause of youth in crisis. I have a sten-son who happens to like perscriptions, ever since before I met him and his mom. I thout about reporting him to the authorities, and turns out, I didn't need to, he messed up behind the wheel, got jailed a couple times, and now is messed up in crack, you name it, he is into it. I stopped fearing he would get into my supply, but so far no. I would suggest trying to control your pain using OTC meds for now, but take the Rx as prescribed, as the abuse of the prscip

Hello Coach Judy
It's a pleasure to meet you & Welcome to the Chronic Pain Connection! We are all really glad you've found us.
I'm really sorry that you've had to deal with an unreasonable doctor's office and were most likely realy treated poorly over the whole situation. It sounds like this doctor was really waaaayyyyy to worried about treating you and was just looking for the slightest excuse to get rid of a pain patient. as I'm sure you already know, we're not really the favorite type of patient for most of our men in white coats.
There have been a couple of shareposts here on the site in the past several weeks on this exact subject, so I'm going to try to find them for you. They are written by one of our resident experts and have some great information on them. I will post the links here for you after I go hunt them both down.
It's great to meet you and Welcome, we're all very happy that you've found us.
Gentle Hugs & Warm Wishes
Betty
