Well, I took my first 30mg Cymbalta last night before bed, and the last week I slowly cut my Nortriptyline down, it dawned on me a few days later why I was sweating so badly ( my doc never told me I would have withdrawls !). Last night I woke up a few times so parched I couldn't move my toungue and I was so hot I had to switch my pj's for something a little lighter. I also had bizzare dreams, but thats not too unusual! When I woke up this morn I was in quite a fog, and couldn't quit yawning, but I forced myself into waking up and continuing on my morning rituales.
My pain was at a mean 7.5 last night after about a week of being almost normal (around 3-5), it took a turn for the worst when I had to climb up the ladder and help my husband off the roof yesterday! He had a massive panic attack while trying to get down! I was surprised I was able to get up and down the ladder, it wasn't till a few hours later when the pain kicked in (like usual). My pain this morning is about a 6, so I'm going to try to keep my ballroom dancing to a min.! (ha! ha! I'm joking!).
Have a good day everyone!

I've been on Cymbalta for a couple of years (60 mg). While I suppose it could be what causes some of my hot flashes, it is well worth it to me! I've been heat intolerant for a long, long time...so it probably is just one of my quirks.
Consider taking Cymbalta in the am if you find it makes you have sleep issues. I actually find that it tends to make me a little more on the "peppy" side, which can be a Godsend for someone with Fibro and CRPS (and chronic insomnia).
Good luck!!
Hi there, I didn't stick it out with the Cymbalta, I started to have major headaches and an awful buzzing in my head behind my eyes, that kept me from sleeping. I felt awful. I also started to get sores in my mouth (like a canker). I went to full of energy to tired, dragging my butt and just plain crappy. It just wasn't worth it.
