This is my little squirrel buddy who comes to visit me each day and recognizes my voice and listens to my commands. Since I've had chronic pain, I do not laugh as much as I use to before.
However, this little guy, seems to always find a way to make me burst outloud with laughter with his little antics. Whether its chasing his siblings, or rolling around with a stick, or diving upside down into his feeder to get the last peanut or seed from his feeder. He is so entertaining and a joy to watch also. When there are days that I am too ill to get outside, he actually shows up on my porch to see where I am, and it actually brings me out of my chronic pain moment even for just a little while.
Nature has brought so much life into my chronic pain days and has helped me to cope better with the pain.

Thank you for telling us your story about you little buddy:>) You made me smile and that in inself is a good thing. I have five buddies. They aresoft and furry and love to cuddle, and seem to know when your pain is really bad. Yes, they are cats. Toby, Baby Love, Lucy, Molly and Rocky. I don't talk to many people about my cats unless they are cat lovers because then I get this look that says, Oh, another crazy cat lady. Well fine
, I don't care. They are there when I need them, don't care if I'm having a bad day. They are unconditional love givers and thats what counts with me. People, I'm a good listener and I'm here often. Let's talk about our cats. HeeHee Anything you want to talk about. Really.
I know what you mean about people looking at you funny about your pets when you talk about them. They are like your children, esp. if you're real children are all grown up or who haven't had any children. I have two cats of my own also. I also have a new puppy who just turned a year old. He's huge though. A Golden Retriever aka. Golden Cow !
He's grown like a weed. But they all know how I feel and understand my pain and when I have bad days, (which are everyday now). They know I'm not myself anymore and its funny, but, they accept it. I still struggle to maintain their needs, but, they know sometimes food is a little late and playing is put on hold for now. They are great company, they remind you that you are alive, right?
Well, my cats names are: Mr. Big and lil' Bear...and the golden is "boomer". I hope to teach him to help me like a service dog....it's not coming along easy either!
It takes a long time and consistency to train him...I have all the tools...but not the energy to use them...I either sleeping, in pain, or catching up with the housework I haven't done in days, you know what I mean!
Well, look forward to sharing again soon....Happy Cat Napping !!
