I went to the PM this morning. After the latest MRI They want to to Epidural Spinal Injections. I know in my heart that this is the next step and probably the one to help the most. BUT.... I'm scared. It's not the epidural that I had when my twins were born. It's not something that I've gone through ...

I have had many epidurals injections. They are nothing to fear. Your under anesthesia so feel nothing. No after effects either. They can help a great deal. The injectio is not in the spinal cord. They have a monitor so they see exactly where the needle is and they inject something in first to make sure the med goes where it should. My first was a series of 3. I was absolutely pain free for a year. As the arthritis in the back gets worse I have to get them more often. Do not have fear as it can help you and as I said they are easy. Some one takes you and drives you home. The anesthetic wears off quickly. You will be glad you got it.
