In The Pain
In the pain I find my inner peace
For what are my choices?
At times I fall too deep into darkness
But I get back up.
In the pain lies dreams of what
Could have been
The reality of what is
The truth of what will be
But I get back up.
In the pain lies the essence of my True Self
Knowing God has a different plan for me
Than I had for myself
Who am I to question His will?
So I get back up.
In the pain I find Atonement.
My unity with God, exemplified by Jesus Christ
Herein, lies my peace
So I get back up.
In the pain I see others struggling to make it another day
Tired.
Afraid.
Bitter.
Resentful.
Asking what horrible thing they did to have to suffer
So I stay up.

Lisa,
Thank you for the nice comments about my poetry. It's a new found thing....I didn't know I could do. I'm so glad you liked it. I'll be posting more soon. I'm trying to get enough to write a book.
God Bless, prayers and thoughts for a pain free day.
