So, I was looking for our broom outside, in case it had been used to dust snow off cars & I thought I might as well get the mail.  What a mistake.  I was wearing my rubber soled moccasin slippers & just like something out of a comic book my feet went flying out in front of me almost up to my eyeballs.  I fell hard on my tailbone & then suddenly went splat backwards & smashed the back of my head into the ice & asphalt.  I couldn't believe the neighbors couldn't hear how loud it was.  I kind of moaned slightly, laid there momentarily then got up.  I got the mail & made it back to the house where my oldest son helped me up the stairs & told me to sit down.  He dusted the snow off my back & when I tried to get up to do something he informed me I had gravel imbedded in my sweatpants.  I changed & kept trying to help with dinner preparations & so on.  I was told to go sit down & I was light headed for several hours.  The next day I was to have "core strengthening-reactivation" followed by a vitamin infusion.

Well, I changed my core strengthening appointment to a myofacial release appointment.  I had trouble telling him what 2 dimes a nickle & a penny added up to & what i had for breakfast but I have a bad memory & suck at math anyway so it is probably no big deal.  I never lost consciousness, nor threwup, nor had any other symptoms.  He decided he wasn't about to mess with my head though.  He held my ankles & lower calves gently as always & went through some soft gentle movements which I was told would help re-align my hips from the fall.  I was told by the PT to move around this weekend so I wouldn't get stiff. HAHA, like I can be still with 3 lil boys 2 teens who often fight or make covert plans, a husband with ADD who has a zillion side jobs that I can't even keep track of, & my own personal to-do list.

I then had the "new improved" vitamin infusion therapy where somehow it was bagged differently with the fluids & was suppose to be more comfortable.  All I know is that instead of it taking an hour, it took 2 1/2 hours, I was a zombie by the time I got out.  Thank God for my son who drove me home!  Luckily the other lil boys were good the whole time about dropping sissy off here & there & so on.

I'm using oodles of pain meds & moving about as much as possible & will actually do my exercises tomorrow. So I went shopping - taking a boy dollar store shopping with birthday money can be quite the adventure let me tell you. Then oddly enough we went to a fabric store nearby & did not buy fabric but birthday boy found clay sticks & candy to share with his brothers, what a thoughtful soul. I found it hard to focus on what I needed with boys & time constraints but ended up with an odd assortment of other things. I made a Valentine topiary tree this afternoon & an I Spy jar for a friend's child.  In the mean time I'm finding that brownies can cure just about anything-almost.  I wonder if my head looks as flattened as it feels?  Time for hats? hmmmmm.  At least time for bed I'm sure of that!  When this infusion therapy kicks in tomorrow or so, I plan to really exercise a lot & maybe if I give up the brownies I won't be as wide as I am tall-maybe the fall condenced me?  If I break my bottom & my head at the same time does that make me a but* head?  hmmmm so many possibilities to explore.  Love y'all Be well & be blessed!~kat
