Problems with private messages

I have used the private message  part for a long time until recently. It doesn't work right anymore. I get e-mails saying that I have a private message and when I click on the link it doesn't go to the private message. It says " This page doesn't exist." I'm able to write a private message once in awhile. I've also tried to click on the private message part at the top of the page and it doesn't work either. I don't want my friends on here to think I don't care anymore so could someone please fix this. I tried to give out my e-mail address and the message was erased. I would appreciate any help you could give me. Also,the one time I was able to get to my private messages they were all erased.Please help me as this is very important to me.   Scooter
