I am 48 now and been so ill since 1994.I have tried so many time`s to get help and get the door slammed in my face like i was a liar.I`m so sick of this system it makes me hurt even more to think about it.I have fibromyalgia,skin lupus,degenerate disc disease,IBS,RLS,anxiety attacks,post traumatic stress and major depression disorder`s,GERDS,Migranes,My hearing and vison are bad now....I`m sure there`s a few i forgot.I take Cymbalta,Lyrica,flexeril,xanax,loratab,previcid,high blood pressure meds,Vytorin.How in the world can we work all drugged up?
I have been going through the courts since 96`.And waiting for a hearing now and been waiting for over a year.Do this judges really think i`m just crazy and lazy?Do they think we want to lose friends,family and work just to get a measly 600.00 a month.What the hell is wrong with this world?Unreal makes me want to move to Canada.I will not Vote for anyone until these people realize we feel like we have cancer running through our blood.Every bone and muscle in my body hurts all the time.It`s a shame how sick people get treated in this country.But they`ll take care of the foreigners that move here.Whats wrong with this picture?While there in there big house i`ve lost 4 since 94 because I can`t work.Please someone needs to get a clue we`re badly ill.
This is horrible. I have been working since I was 16 and have never been unemployed, and have been with my current employer for almost 16 years. I am afraid I am going to loss everything and this will be very devastating for my youngest Autistic son. It could place him back years if we loss our house and have to move. THEY HAVE TO FIX THIS. There are admitted drug addicts where I live that get SSI benefits, but I read how hard you had to fight. I do not think I going to make it.
Listen to this funny story!I finally get my third court appearance for disablity.Or SSI because they ran me around for years until I ran out of work credits for SS.Well I won my case lollllllllllllllllllllll.Hahahahahaha! I get a whopping 193.00 a month.Yes a 193.00 a month probably will feed me.But to do anything else for me ,I don`t think so.So please don`t depend on SS to help you because they won`t.My nephew who I have custody of is deaf and very very healthy gets SSI and he gets 635.00 and he`s 13.Can someone tell me what I missed here?What a friggin JOKE!!!!!It was on me.Oh wait and my husband made a whopping 12k last year.We are living high on the hog here.I wish ya luck,And I mean that sincerly!
I do not know what to do. I was bitten by a brown recluse spider on a business trip in 7/09 and rush to the ER 2 days later. Then I saw my doctor and was told it affect my immune system, the doctor said it would take 6-8 weeks to feel better, well everything kept getting worse, I had every blood test taken - nothing but a high WBC. Many trigger point injections and shots, Then in Jan 2010 I was told I had Fibromyalgia and refered to a Neurologist who placed me on Fibromyalgia Medication, Hemotologist who diagnosed Leucocytosis, and a Rheumotologist who also diagnosed Fibromyalgia and placed on a second Fibromyalgia medication. I was feeling better and thought that I could return to work and I really had to to keep my medication benefits for my family. What I do not understand is that my employer stated it was not workers comp since I was bitten in a hotel and when I was on LOA my employer stated I had to return to work 6/1/10 or I would be terminated. I am a computer progammer and I did because I have 2 sons that have Aspergers/Autism and associated diagnosis plus a Diabetic husband. This week at work they had me in meetings for critical issues back to back for hours. I am in so much pain now I cry myself to sleep every night. I think I really need a lawyer but don't know where to find one to handle this type of case. Can anyone help me. I can't handle the pain and stress much longer.
Im a 38yr old female and had a physical job. I started feeling weak, fatigued, pain through out my body, and was losing the feeling in my right arm. I went to a doctor and he refered me to a neurologist. I had a MRI and they found I had a neck injury. My neck didn't bother me so they send me to a rheumetologist. They diagnost me with firbomyalsia. I was doing pretty good with the meds until one day I had a whiplash motion and my neck got worse. I had to have surgery on my neck. I went back after surgery and was doing fine until I stressed my neck. I am now waiting for my next neck surgery. Work comp is trying to say the fibro caused my neck injury. Strange since im pretty sure the neck injury cause my fibro. What do you think? Remember the doctor saw that I had a neck problem before it actually started bothering me. Comments would be helpful.

Before I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia I was a workers compensation insurance adjuster. I know of at least one employee that we settled with that had fms due to physical trauma in the work place. We paid a permanent disability settlement percent to the employee. Funny ( not really funny) enough it was that case that made me look into fms in relation to my symptoms .
It is easier to get a settlement through workers comp than through an auto accident because they are different types of policies. Keep in mind this is California w/c.
