Hello Carol
It's great to see you over here at the CPConnection. I think your the same person I recently met at hope4pain??
Thank you for all the great cleaning tips, I've pretty much had to conform my own cleaning to my abilities and sounds like we both take a similar approach to house cleaning when dealing with Chronic Pain. I really like the idea of the yard wagon and my get myself one very soon. I've tried to out fit each bathroom with it's only cleaning supplies, so I don't have to walk from one end of the house to the other just to clean my bathrooms.
When I was healthy, I vacummed my house nearly every day, I still sweep my kitchen floor every day, but have had to let go of my daily vacumming and ask my husband to do it about once per week. It's only on really good days that I'm able and boy does that feel great!
My daily for positive activities are taking my shower, getting dressed or putting clean pajamas on and making our bed. If I'm not able I forget about even sweeping the kitchen, even though it drives me crazy.
Just a couple of months ago, I took down a bunch of knic knaks and put them away. Then I dusted all my walls & everything hanging, as part of my spring cleaning. It felt really good to have a good weekend and I had not had one since last September, so I was really due.
It's been a long hard winter, here in Washington state, I'm sick of the snow and want it to warm up so badly I can hardly stand it. I just want some relief and to get outside to walk my dogs more. I hope your weather in Yakima gets warmer soon, I'm down by Portland/Vancouver and it's been a bear of a winter.
Thank you for all your tips, advice and all you do for us in pain in Washington state. You & your husband are much appreciated by the rest of us here in WA. Take Care! I hope to see you around here more
Betty
